Most of them use unsafeWindow and are therefore compatible only with Firefox+Greasemonkey. Also, they are compatible with both normal FriendFeed and Beta.
Click to install.
In-place Previewer (install) adds a simple Preview action to all FriendFeed items with a link inside. This button opens an embedded HTML frame and loads the link into this frame.
Example:
Changelog:
15 Sep 2008 — disable autorefresh when a preview frame is open;
support links in Twitter posts.
Death to White Brotherhood (install) removes silly names from FriendFeed pages by replacing them with nicknames from URL.
Helps to make sense of this mess:
There are several bugs in the script due to dynamic nature of FriendFeed pages. New content that gets added to the page sometimes escapes the processing.
Why such a name? There were several "White Brotherhood"-themed nicks in Russian FriendFeed community long ago -- this script was initially written to battle the Brotherhood.
Bottom Comment Link (install) clones "Comment-Like-Hide" links at the bottom of a thread if there're more than a predefined threshold number of comments in the thread so that there's no need to scroll up to add a comment or hide the post.
Example:
Changelog:
12 Dec 2008 — fix for newly i18nized FriendFeed. Should work for
all languages.
12 Oct 2008 — add "Like" and "Hide" links too.
Tinyurl-Ru Resolver (install) adds a way to "expand" tinyurlified URL with a simple click on a question mark. This is a modification of original tinyurl.user.js with support for local russian service b23.ru.
Those who want to add support for clck.ru should first make its author provide expansion API.
Also, I wish all URL-shortening services a painful death because they are mostly used for obfuscating SPAM links nowadays. Twitter should also suffer for imposing a 140 chars limit on all messages.
These scripts hide all entries from FFFFOUND, vi.zualize.us, formalista and filmfeed.ru.
I chose not to publish them because there's a wonderful FriendFeed Saviour script which can easily be modified to include this functionality. Here's this modified version (install).
